What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Center Director position at Huntington Learning Center?
Assistant Director- 39 hours per week
Huntington Learning Center, Centerville, Ohio -Under the direction of the Center Director, the Assistant Director is responsible for managing both the administrative activities and the educational activities of the center. Principal responsibilities include: center operations, parent conferences, school conferences, instruction, marketing goals, data entry, billing, scheduling and make-ups.
Essential Functions:
- Oversee and coordinate all center activities, staff, and services.
- Conduct Student Interim Conferences for students and parents.
- Prepare for, conduct, and follow up after, professional event focused/student focused school visits.
- Ensure that all center policies, procedures, and regulations are followed.
- Provide administrative support for the Center, duties assigned by the director.
- Participate in hiring and interviewing of staff.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for staff and students.
- Ensure that all equipment is in working order.
- Conduct initial Inquiries, Consultations and Academic Evaluations.
- Supervise instruction; insure effectiveness, accuracy, thoroughness, and competency of all instruction.
- Instruction of students.
- Participate in bi-monthly teacher meetings.
- Monitor, program, and reprogram student instructional programs.
- Review each student's instructional program and make necessary changes.
- Manage all aspects of Exam Prep Services, including supervision of program prescription, initial program, program revision, instruction, and student progress.
- Create and maintain student and teacher schedules. Anticipate teacher needs.
- Maintain Center appearance.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be trustworthy and reliable
- Must have a bachelor's degree
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must have a clear background check
- Must provide references and have excellent attendance.
Work Hours during the school year: Monday-Thursday 12pm-8:30pm (paid 30 min lunch), Saturdays 9am-1pm.
Work Hours during the summer: Monday/Wednesday 12pm-6:30pm, (paid 30 min lunch) Tuesday/Thursdays- 10am-8:30pm, (paid 30 min lunch) Saturdays 9am-1pm.
Paid Holidays- New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
1 week of paid vacation after 1 year of service. You may take unpaid time off, but must be approved by the Director in advanced.
