The Department of Community Development has an opening for a Land Use and Office Coordinator
Responsibilities include processing various permit applications, review and approval of various building permit applications, Building Code enforcement, inspections as necessary, and frequently the first point of contact for assisting the public both in person and over the phone. This position is also responsible for acting as the Hearing Officer and Staff Representative in the absence of the Director.
Successful candidate must have excellent communication, organization and computer skills. Previous experience working with GIS is preferred. Must be able to work on a variety of tasks, follow instructions, and understand City, Municipal and County government operations. Must be comfortable working with the public.
Work hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Some evening meetings may be required. HS Diploma/GED Required.
Pay rate: Up to $21.17 per hour
