What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Veterinarian | Supportive, Family-Owned Small Animal Practice position at Huntington Beach Pet Hospital?
Join a Team That Loves Practicing Great Medicine—Together
Huntington Beach Pet Hospital is looking for a compassionate, outgoing Associate Veterinarian to join our family-owned, non-corporate small animal practice. Whether you're an experienced veterinarian or a newer graduate looking for mentorship, you'll find a collaborative, supportive team that enjoys practicing high-quality medicine while having fun together.
We believe that veterinary medicine is at its best when doctors and staff genuinely enjoy working together. If you're looking for a hospital where your opinions are valued, your teammates have your back, and clients truly appreciate your care, we'd love to meet you.
What Makes Our Hospital Different
Our culture is one of the things we're most proud of.
We're a close-knit group of extroverts who genuinely enjoy coming to work every day. We laugh together, celebrate successes together, and never hesitate to jump in and help one another. Teamwork isn't just a buzzword here—it's how we practice medicine every single day.
As a privately owned hospital, you'll never feel like just another employee. Your medical opinions are respected, your ideas are welcomed, and you'll have the freedom to practice medicine based on your experience and clinical judgment.
Collaboration is encouraged throughout the day. Case consultation is always available with our owner and primary veterinarian, Dr. Lewis, a UC Davis graduate with more than 22 years of experience. Whether you want to discuss a complicated medical case, review radiographs, or simply get another perspective, you'll always have support.
You'll also work alongside experienced Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) and a Lead Technician who's been with the clinic for 8 years who help appointments run smoothly and allow you to focus on providing excellent patient care.
We're proud of the outstanding reputation we've built within our community, reflected in our excellent Google and Yelp reviews. Our clients value the relationships they build with our doctors and staff, and we strive to make every visit a positive experience for both pets and their families.
