I. FIELD DATA COLLECTOR Department - Assessment Office Supervisor - Chief Assessor Date Revised – March 2024 II. Job Statement This position exists under direct supervision to check properties and maintain current records to note property improvements. III. Job Duties/Responsibilities 1. Field check properties, listing and measuring improvements, includes conversing with property owners. 2. Maintain and update property records, maps, and assessment rolls. 3. Assist at counter with tax payer problems. IV. Job Specifications A. Education - High school diploma or equivalent required. Basic drafting skills and a working knowledge of the county. B. Experience - none required. C. General Requirements Ability to speak and write English effectively. Ability to understand and follow simple oral and/or written instructions. Ability to communicate in an appropriate manner and get along well with others. Ability to make minor decisions using good judgement and acting in accordance with established policies or regulations. D. Specific Requirements Ability to operate basic office equipment and a motor vehicle. Ability to work with minimum supervision. Ability to perform basic bookkeeping duties. Good working knowledge of Huntingdon County geography. Field Data Collector - 2 Must possess a valid driver's license. Ability to make basic mathematical computations. Ability to work effectively with the general public. E.
