The Huntingdon County Commissioners are accepting applications for the position of Full-Time Custodial staff. This position under direct supervision to perform general maintenance and custodial duties for the Huntingdon County Courthouse and all buildings used by Huntingdon County. Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Clean floors including sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
- Maintain lights including replacing bulbs and ballasts.
- Inspect offices, hallways and steps.
- Take out trash.
- Maintain bathrooms including soap dispensers and faucets.
- Able to react productively to change and handle other essential duties as assigned.
Job Specifications
- Education - High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience - None required.
- General Requirements
Ability to speak and write English effectively.
Ability to communicate in an appropriate manner and get along well with others.
Ability to understand and follow simple oral and/or written instructions.
Ability to make minor decisions using good judgment and acting in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Specific Requirements
Able to operate basic hand tools and cleaning implements including a vacuum cleaner and floor scrubber.
