What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adult Education/Family Literacy Programs Instructor position at Huntingdon County Child & Adult Development Corporation?
Responsible for the instruction of the adult students in the Adult Education and Family Literacy Programs. Responsible for implementing curriculum materials and individualized programming under the direction of the Program Director and Lead Adult Instructor
Possess and apply basic adult education techniques, knowledge and skills that are effective with adult learners.
Meet with each student individually and set goals.
Complete service/employment/educational plan.
Provide individualized instruction to the adult learners in assigned classroom settings including both face-to-face and virtual classroom settings.
Qualification Standards:
Bachelor of Arts or Science degree in Reading, Secondary Education, or a related field and one year teaching experience. PA Teachers Certificate preferred but not required. Experience in adult education programs and certification preferred
Normal working hours are 32 hours per week, Mon – Thurs. 7:30 – 4:00 pm. Overnight training may be required.

Pay: $25.00 per hour
