What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machine Operator 1 - NIGHTS position at Hunting?
- Confirm job order procedures and instructions relating to machine operations.
- Set up and operate CNC Machines and/or production equipment; strictly following instructions, job specifications and blueprints.
- Read blueprints accurately to properly set up machinery.
- Operate hand tools as necessary to set up tools in the correct machine.
- Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions.
- Identify and stamp parts for traceability.
- Inspect products per print.
- Keep machine clean, perform minor maintenance as needed, and report malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
- Must be willing to purchase required tools, which must pass certification criteria.
- Must be able to complete the above tasks under close supervision.
- Perform entry level CNC machining processes with assistance.
- Skills to be developed by repeating operations and on the job training.
- Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and blue prints.
- Able to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Able to compute rate, ratio and percent.
- Other duties as assigned.
