- Job Description and Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical control systems for oil and gas operations.
- Experience with analog and digital circuits for use in downhole Geophysical Well Logging and Perforating tools.
- Experience with embedded firmware (using C and assembly) for Microchip product suite.
- Work on troubleshooting production test equipment (LabView experience).
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
- Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers for integration with systems.
- Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting/repair of electrical equipment.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation.
- Supervise installation and commissioning of electrical equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Education and Training:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. (Master’s preferred.)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations.
- Experience with electrical design and control systems.
- Proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
- General Requirements / Technical Requirements & Skills:
- Electrical system design.
- Experience with hardware simulation tools.
- Firmware using embedded C.
- Matlab, LabView experience.
- Altium or similar PCB design experience.
- Ability to perform basic solder work (SMT and thru-hole).
- Strong experience with Version Control using Git
- Ability to produce quality Technical Documentation.
- Proficient in Project Management.
- Can conduct Risk assessments.
- Able to travel as needed.
- Certificates, Licenses & Registrations:
- Must have a valid driver’s license and record that conforms to company’s insurance policies, ATF, DOT, and State of other required Hazmat training.
- Professional Engineer (PE) accreditation is preferred.
- Work Authorization / Security Clearance:
- Authorized to work in United States.
- Able to meet ATF & regulatory security requirements.
