Job Title: Toddler Assistant Teacher
Location: Big Rapids
Job Type: Full-time - must be available to work 32-40 hours per week
Reports To: Lead Teacher / Center Director

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing the classroom curriculum, adapting to meet the unique needs of each child.
- Maintain a safe and nurturing environment where children can explore, play, and learn.
- Support children's development through structured activities, play, and positive behavior guidance.
- Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to maintain classroom routines, organization, and effective communication with parents/guardians.
- Monitor and report children’s progress and any areas of concern to the Lead Teacher.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and classroom effectiveness.
- Follow health and safety protocols, ensuring a clean and secure environment.
- Cultivate positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
- Uphold company standards and comply with state licensing requirements.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; coursework or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
- Child Development Associate (CDA) or willingness to obtain within one year of employment.
- Previous experience working with children in an early childhood setting is a plus.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to engage in physical activity with children and lift up to 30-40 pounds.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Positive, patient, and flexible demeanor with a strong work ethic.

Work Schedule:
- 8am start time
- Center operates on a first in, first out schedule. Typical end time will be between 4pm - 6pm.
- Monday - Friday
- No nights, weekends, or holidays.

Pay: $12.75 - $14.50 per hour
