Job Title: Elementary Instructional Assistant
Job Summary:
The Elementary Instructional Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of elementary school students. This position is responsible for assisting teachers in delivering effective instruction, providing individualized support to students, and maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment. The instructional aide works closely with classroom teachers and other school staff to ensure that students receive the best possible education.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in Classroom Instruction: Collaborate with the classroom teacher to implement lesson plans and instructional activities.
Provide small group or one-on-one instruction to students who require additional support.
Help students with class assignments, homework, and projects.
Reinforce lessons by reviewing and practicing concepts with students.
Student Support: Encourage student engagement and participation in classroom activities.
Monitor and manage student behavior to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Address student questions and concerns, providing clarification when needed.
Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Help administer tests, quizzes, and other assessments as directed by the teacher.
Assist in tracking and documenting student progress and behavior.
Safety and Supervision: Ensure the safety and well-being of students during class activities, recess, and other school-related events.
Follow established protocols for emergency situations and student supervision.
Qualifications:
