Surgical Technician (Full Time, Mon-Fri. Surgery Center)

Position Summary:

The Hunterdon Center for Surgery, affiliated with Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ is seeking a Surgical Technician to join our team.  The Surgical Tech assumes responsibility for providing patient care in accordance with established AORN standards and guidelines. 

Responsibilities:

Utilizes technical skills as a first line direct patient care provider and is integral member of the intraoperative surgical team.  Ensures compliance with all HCS policies and procedures.  Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each surgeon’s specific needs and provides as needed.

Requirements:

Education – High School Diploma Required.

Graduate of an accredited OR Technician program preferred, with at least two (2) years O.R. experience. 

Must be highly motivated with leadership and strong surgical skills.  Good communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills required.  Shows initiative and possesses good problem solving skills.  Ability to use all surgical equipment (i.e., laser, bovie, video, etc.)
