Hunterdon Developmental Center, a State of NJ facility, is dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to 308 adult clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for each individual we serve through compassionate and professional care. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced nursing leader to join our team as the Director of Nursing Services. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing and managing all nursing operations to ensure the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care.
- Developing and implementing nursing policies, procedures, and standards of care in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Leading, mentoring, and supervising a team of nursing staff, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to create and execute individualized care plans for clients.
- Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
- Participating in strategic planning and quality improvement initiatives to enhance client outcomes and satisfaction.
EDUCATION
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
EXPERIENCE
Seven (7) years of experience as a Registered Nurse. Three (3) years of the required experience shall have been in a second-line supervisory capacity involving the care and treatment of developmentally disabled, psychiatric or geriatric patients.
Appointee will be required to possess a current professional license as a Registered Nurse valid in the State of New Jersey.
