We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Paraprofessional to join our dynamic educational team. Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) and support plans tailored to students’ unique needs.
• Provide direct support to students with disabilities, including physical assistance, behavior management, and classroom engagement strategies.
• Use other communication techniques to facilitate effective interaction with students who have communication challenges.
• Manage classroom activities, maintain a positive learning environment.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, counselors, and other professionals to monitor student progress and adapt support strategies accordingly.
• Handle confidential information responsibly while supporting classroom routines.

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in classroom or childcare settings, especially within special education environments.
• Knowledge of childhood development, behavior management for students with behavioral disorders, and classroom management skills.
• Familiarity with autism spectrum disorders support strategies and experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Proficiency in basic math, literacy education, and early childhood education practices; Montessori or private school experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams of professionals.
• Ability to provide physical assistance for students requiring mobility or sensory support; comfort working with students who have disabilities.
• Understanding of confidentiality standards related to student records and sensitive information handling.
