Must have valid LPN or CMA license in New Jersey with a minimum 2 years of practical experience.
Position Summary:
The Surgical/Procedure Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and scheduling outpatient/inpatient surgeries/procedures, acting as a liaison between physicians, patients, and surgical staff. This position ensures all necessary documentation, authorizations, and instructions are in place for a successful patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule surgical and procedural appointments accurately and efficiently according to physician orders and patient availability.
- Provide patients with detailed pre-op instructions, patient education, preparation requirements, and follow-up information.
- Coordinate schedules with physicians, cath lab, endoscopy lab and operating room personnel.
- Ensure accurate data entry into the electronic medical records (EMR) and scheduling systems.
- Respond to patient and provider inquiries regarding scheduling or changes with professionalism and urgency.
- Monitor surgery/procedure calendars and communicate updates or changes as needed.
- Collaborate with billing and insurance departments to confirm coverage and authorization.

Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
