POSITION AT A GLANCE
Location: Within 1 hour of any Hunter location
Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
Pay: $145,000 to $190,000/year - based on experience
WHAT YOU’LL DO
As the Director of Parts Pricing & Operations, you’ll lead the end-to-end performance of fixed parts operations, driving strategic sourcing, pricing governance, and inventory optimization to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction. You will:
➤ Oversee strategic sourcing and procurement to ensure parts availability, cost efficiency, and quality
➤ Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, suppliers, and key vendors while negotiating pricing, rebates, and contracts
➤ Lead pricing governance and develop strategies to drive profitability and competitive positioning
➤ Monitor supplier performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives
➤ Analyze inventory to reduce excess and obsolete stock while improving turns and working capital efficiency
➤ Partner with parts and service leaders to maintain strong inventory controls across all locations
➤ Standardize processes, workflows, and KPIs across the parts organization
➤ Develop and track performance metrics and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making
➤ Collaborate cross-functionally with service, sales, and marketing teams to drive overall business performance
➤ Oversee vendor returns and cost control initiatives across the organization
➤ Identify opportunities for alternative sourcing and private label strategies
➤ Provide leadership and direction to parts managers and operational teams company-wide
➤ Promote and enforce all health and safety policies to maintain a safe work environment
WHAT YOU BRING
◆ Education & Experience:
- Associate’s degree from a two-year college or university, or
- Five or more years of related experience and/or training (an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered)
- Strong experience in parts operations, pricing strategy, procurement, and inventory management required.
◆ Certificates & Licenses: Valid Driver’s License required; must meet company insurability standards
◆ Supervisory Experience: Proven ability to lead and develop teams, with direct oversight of pricing, inventory control, procurement, and parts operations functions. Experience managing leaders and driving accountability across multiple locations preferred.
◆ Travel Requirements: Up to 35% travel required, including day and overnight trips to branch locations, customer sites, training sessions, and company meetings.
◆ Physical Requirements: Frequent walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; occasional lifting/moving up to 50 lbs.
