POSITION SUMMARY:
Work directly with the Lead Engineer, Design Team, and Production Team to produce layout drawings, design drawings, and maintain specifications for custom cabinetry. Develop an understanding of shop practices, build methods, and proper millwork standards to implement in production drawings.
Reports directly to Lead Engineer/Draftsman.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience:
- High school or equivalent
- Basic cabinet knowledge (clearances and tolerances and terms)
- 1-3 years of cabinet drafting experience
- Proficient in Cabinet Vision Software
Licenses and/or Certifications:

- Occasional lifting, carrying, frequent pushing and pulling of 50 pounds
- Occasionally required to walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
Availability:
- This is a full-time, salaried position (salary is based upon a minimum 40-hour work week, hours could exceed that depending upon workload).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Generate initial drawings for approval using Cabinet Vision.
- Detail approved submittal drawings and generate cultists using Cabinet Vision.
- Complete initial drawing checklists.
- Revise drawings and layouts to accommodate changes.
- Coordinates document flow and approval process.
- Review and analyze sketches, drawings, ideas, specifications and related data to assess factors affecting designs and production.
- Assist in identifying, proposing solutions, and solving quality problems as identified by our internal and external customers.
- Utilize daily improvement time to analyze ways to make your job simpler, safer, and faster.
- Ensure all work is performed and completed in conformance with any related codes, guidelines or standards established by a manufacturer or regulating body.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- This job operates primarily in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
- Frequently alternates between shop floor production environment and office.
- Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; is exposed to vibration, humidity, changes in temperature, and loud noise.
- Occasionally is exposed to fumes/particulates, chemicals, moving equipment, electricity.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- 18 years of age or older
- Computer skills, including but not limited to, Microsoft Word and Excel, and Cabinet Vision
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and blueprints.
- Full working knowledge of Cabinet Vision Software.
- Strict adherence to corporate values and LEAN manufacturing principles
- Willing to submit to pre-employment background verification, medical review and drug and alcohol screening
- Willing to submit to random drug testing during employment
- Able to read, write, and communicate (speak, hear, and understand) English
- Able to follow written and oral directions
