A growing food manufacturing organization is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily maintenance operations within a fast-paced production environment. This individual will oversee maintenance technicians, drive equipment reliability initiatives, support capital projects, and ensure plant equipment operates safely and efficiently to support production goals.
This role is ideal for a strong maintenance leader with electrical troubleshooting expertise, experience in food manufacturing, and a proactive approach to preventive maintenance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop the maintenance team while promoting a strong safety-first culture
- Supervise daily maintenance activities including troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance
- Drive equipment reliability and minimize downtime across the facility
- Coordinate maintenance projects, equipment installations, and vendor activities
- Partner closely with Production, Quality, and other departments to support operational efficiency
- Support and improve preventive/predictive maintenance programs and reliability initiatives
- Utilize maintenance KPIs and metrics to improve performance and reduce breakdowns
- Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, SQF, and company standards
- Manage departmental scheduling, purchasing, and maintenance-related budget activities
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation, work orders, and equipment records
- Support continuous improvement and TPM initiatives throughout the facility
Qualifications
Required
- Strong electrical troubleshooting knowledge in a manufacturing environment
- Proven leadership and team development experience
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance documentation systems
Preferred
- 5 years of maintenance experience within manufacturing
- 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience
- Food manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Experience with pumps, valves, packaging equipment, and automated systems
- TIG/sanitary welding experience is a plus
- PLC troubleshooting experience preferred
