IMMEDIATE HIRE- We’re partnering with an organization in Houston that is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support payroll, employee relations, onboarding, benefits administration, and day-to-day HR operations. Key Responsibilities
Payroll & HR Operations
- Process and support multi-state payroll activities including new hires, terminations, pay changes, bonuses, commissions, reimbursements, and corrections
- Review and validate employee timecards prior to payroll processing
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Assist with payroll audits, reconciliations, year-end processing, and compliance reporting
- Respond to employee questions regarding payroll, HR policies, and benefits
- Support onboarding, offboarding, employee status changes, and leave administration
- Maintain accurate employee records within HRIS and payroll systems
- Assist with HR compliance initiatives, reporting, and process improvements
Benefits Administration
- Support employee benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations
- Serve as a liaison between employees, vendors, payroll, and HR teams
- Assist with open enrollment and benefits-related audits
- Process and track HR and benefits invoices
Qualifications
- 2 years of HR or payroll experience with strong payroll exposure
- Hands-on experience with ADP payroll systems
- Experience processing multi-state payroll
- Knowledge of payroll compliance and HR best practices
- Experience supporting onboarding, benefits, and employee lifecycle processes
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered
- HR certifications such as aPHR or SHRM-CP are a plus
- Spanish bilingual skills are a plus
- Experience working in a diverse or international environment is preferred
