Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering propane and/or fuel safely and efficiently to various locations while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service.
Duties
- Operate a variety of trucks, including tractor-trailer, flatbed, and tanker vehicles, ensuring safe transport of goods.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions.
- Transport propane/fuel from plant to residential and commercial customers.
- Manage the loading and unloading of propane and/or fuel.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each trip.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while on the road.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
- Proven experience in truck driving.
- Familiarity with procedures and delivery processes.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in truck driving.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- A clean driving record with no major violations is preferred.
