Hunter Industries is investing in the future of data and analytics. As part of our modernization journey, we’re building the foundation for a more connected, data-driven enterprise—one where reliable, governed, and accessible data enables smarter decisions across every business function.
We’re looking for a Principal Data & Analytics Architect who will serve as the senior-most architectural authority for enterprise data at Hunter. In this strategic and hands-on role, you will define the data architecture, integration patterns, and governance frameworks that ensure our data is structured, trusted, secure, and ready for advanced analytics and AI-enabled capabilities.
You will play a central role in shaping and delivering our enterprise data modernization roadmap while guiding engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders toward a consistent and scalable data ecosystem.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the enterprise data architecture across cloud, SaaS, and on-prem systems, ensuring scalability, interoperability, and long-term sustainability.
- Design integration patterns and lead the initial implementation of foundational data pipelines that connect Oracle Fusion, Salesforce, manufacturing systems, and other enterprise applications into a unified data platform.
- Develop reference architectures and prototypes that accelerate delivery and guide engineering best practices.
- Establish and operationalize governance frameworks including metadata, lineage, master/reference data, data quality, and stewardship.
- Define engineering standards for data modeling, ELT, orchestration, testing, and CI/CD.
- Enable responsible adoption of AI/ML capabilities by ensuring data foundations, privacy, and governance are in place.
- Collaborate across IT and business units to align architecture decisions with strategic priorities and modernization goals.
- Mentor and develop engineers, analysts, and data stewards, strengthening enterprise-wide data and analytics capabilities.
- Monitor trends in data platforms, analytics, and AI to continually evolve the enterprise data roadmap.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field; master’s preferred
- 10 years of experience in data architecture, engineering, or analytics in enterprise environments
- Experience integrating data from cloud ERP/CRM systems (Oracle Fusion, Salesforce strongly preferred) and manufacturing/operational systems
- Expertise in cloud data platforms, modern data architectures, and ELT development
- Strong command of data governance frameworks including metadata, lineage, MDM/RDM, and data quality
- Hands-on experience designing data models, integration patterns, and orchestrated pipelines
- Ability to lead, mentor, and elevate technical teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience enabling analytics and self-service BI through semantic models and standardized KPIs
