About Us
Hunter & Hilsberg is a “small-batch” specialty maker of fruit spreads, jams, jellies, chutneys, preserves and sauces supplying gourmet stores, farm markets and food service customers throughout the country. What You'll Do
As much an art as it is a science, you will work with a small team and learn all aspects of turning simple ingredients into shelf-stable, high quality, old-school-style preserves and fruit spreads.
Learn and manage the entire production process alongside the company founders and fellow jam-makers in a small batch commercial kitchen environment. Provide support to all team members and fellow batch managers, ensure all quality assurance and food safety control points are met, and have the initiative to identify and complete open tasks.
Production teamwork involves product preparation, following process formulations, cooking, packaging, record-keeping and cleaning in accordance with Global Food Safety Initiative and Safe Quality Foods principles.
Expectations

Candidates should be available to work Mondays through Fridays, between 8:45 am until completion of each day's batch close-out (ca. 6 pm) and have the following attributes:

Experience

Training Period
All new hires are considered apprentices with base pay starting at $18/hr during a training period, no exceptions. Pay rate increases and any bonus pay are graduated based on a number of factors, including experience, the amount of team and batch responsibility carried daily, full-time status, length of time with the company, and individual performance.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
