Staff Accountant

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join out client, a fast-growing consumer brand helping people feel more confident and comfortable in their skin. The team consists of about 25 passionate, driven professionals works together in a collaborative, high-energy environment in downtown Durham, NC.

This role is geared towards entry-level Accountants that are eager to learn, dive into real accounting operations, and grow into a key contributor within a high-energy startup environment.

What You'll Do

• Support the month-end close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Process vendor invoices and employee expense reimbursements
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports
• Help track and analyze company expenses and budgets
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
• Assist in audits and ensure compliance with internal controls
• Work closely with operations and finance to improve processes and efficiency

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
• 0–2 years of accounting or finance experience (internships count!)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks or NetSuite a plus)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Eagerness to learn and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
