Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Specialist / HR Generalist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing payroll processes, employee relations, onboarding, compliance, and HR administration in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Paylocity or a similar HRIS/payroll platform is required.
Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish are highly preferred to support a diverse workforce.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Administration
- Process weekly/bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time
- Maintain payroll records, deductions, benefits, and tax information
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Handle payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Manage timekeeping and attendance records
Human Resources Functions
- Support onboarding and new hire documentation
- Maintain employee files and HR records
- Assist with employee relations and HR support activities
- Coordinate compliance training and policy acknowledgments
- Support benefits administration and leave tracking
- Assist with recruitment, job postings, and interview coordination
- Ensure compliance with company policies and labor laws
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field preferred
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in payroll and HR administration, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Experience using Paylocity or similar HRIS/payroll systems (ADP, UKG, Paychex, Workday, etc.)
- Strong understanding of payroll processes and HR compliance
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing workforce environments and shift scheduling
- Experience handling employee onboarding and compliance training
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
