Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of production machinery, manufacturing equipment, and facility systems. This hands-on role requires solid technical skills, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively to support equipment reliability and production uptime.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues to minimize downtime and restore production operations.
- Assist with preventive maintenance programs and scheduled equipment inspections.
- Support installation, setup, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment upgrades.
- Document maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment conditions in the CMMS system.
- Work closely with production, engineering, and safety teams to resolve equipment issues and improve reliability.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures.
- Assist senior technicians or supervisors with more complex repairs and improvement projects.
- Coordinate with vendors or contractors under supervision when required.
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives as a team member.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or a related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in industrial or equipment maintenance.
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems, PLC-controlled equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
- Experience with casting or heavy industrial machinery is a plus.
