As a Senior Cost Analyst, you will be responsible for compiling and analyzing data that affects manufacturing inventory inputs and assembling data into cost-of-goods-sold reports.
What You’ll Do:
- Cost Analysis & Reporting
- Compile and analyze manufacturing and operational reports for costs, variances, and trends.
- Compare standard material and labor costs to actuals; investigate discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
- Post standard cost of goods for month-end close and prepare cost of goods sold (COGS) reports.
- Inventory Management
- Oversee inventory valuation, reconciliations, and transaction audits.
- Assist with year-end physical inventory audits.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with operations, procurement, and finance teams to align cost strategies and support business decisions.
- Provide insights into cost drivers and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
- Additional Responsibilities
- Support other projects/initiatives as assigned.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (preferred).
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, operations, or related fields.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
