Fabrication Designer / Detailer

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Designer / Detailer to join our team. As a Fabrication Designer / Detailer, you will be responsible for creating, revising, and maintaining drawing files required for the production of municipal, industrial, and agricultural projects.

Responsibilities include:

• Work directly with the Fabrication Engineer on existing and new equipment assemblies
• Communicate with our equipment manufacturers for required information
• Manage multiple design functions in various stages of completion
• Prioritize the projects assigned to meet deadlines in a timely manner
• Design and creation of production fabrication and machining drawings
• Create production and shop assembly drawings
• Assemble Equipment production packages for use in fabrication
• Report to the Engineering Manager

Qualifications include:

• 5 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication and machined part production
• Technical experience using SolidWorks software for 3D modeling and drawing detailing
• Experience using PDM software
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD LT software
• Create and use Drawing Templates and model configurations
• Proficient in use of translation 3D models and drawing files
• Experience in creation and use of production Bills of Materials
• Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
• Capable of preparing submittals
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work under time constraints and deadlines
• Willingness to travel as required
