Roles, Duties, & Responsibilities
- Digs ditches or trenches, backfills excavations, and compacts and levels earth to specifications.
- Aligns and positions pipes and machinery under the direction of Millwright Foreman.
- Does demolition to remove concrete wall systems using air powered demo equipment such as jackhammers, chipping hammers, etc. Also uses small hand tools such as drills, rotary hammers, torque wrenches, air powered impact wrenches and mechanical tools.
- Assists in installation of all new hardware including piping, rail systems and cloth filter material.
- Measures, marks, and records openings and distances to lay out areas where work is to be performed. Must be adept at using tape measures and able to comprehend site layout plans.
- Applies caulking compounds by hand or using caulking guns.
- Adheres to all Hunter Contracting Co. safety policies, procedures, and instructions from management.
- Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
- Practices good safety habits
- Works within special standards of accuracy.

- Thorough understanding of safety practices.
- Makes decisions based on verifiable standards.

- Entry level position. High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years in a related field with familiarity with Water/Wastewater Treatment facilities preferred.
