Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Billing/Collections Specialist to join
our team. This role is responsible for accurately setting up, maintaining, and updating
customer voice and internet services in the billing system. This role ensures services,
pricing, and billing cycles are correctly entered according to approved orders and
company procedures, supporting accurate invoicing and revenue recognition.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter and configure customer voice and internet services in the billing system based on approved service orders
- Set up billing elements including service types, rates, discounts, taxes, and billing cycles
- Verify service details align with contracts, pricing approvals, and system requirements
- Process service changes, disconnects, upgrades, and downgrades accurately and timely
- Audit service entries to ensure accuracy and prevent billing errors
- Collaborate with sales, provisioning, and operations to resolve service setup issues
- Research and correct billing discrepancies related to voice and internet services
- Document all service entries and changes in accordance with internal controls
- Follow established billing and approval processes to ensure compliance and audit readiness
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
- 1–3 years of billing, service order entry, or telecom/ISP experience preferred
- Familiarity with voice, internet, and telecom service structures
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Experience working in billing or ERP systems
- Ability to manage multiple service requests and meet deadlines
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of telecom terminology (DIDs, circuits, bandwidth, features, etc.)
- Experience with automated billing platforms or CRM-to-billing workflows
Pay & Benefits:
Competitive starting wage in addition to fully paid premiums for medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance coverage. Accrued 2 weeks of vacation and 1 week of sick time in addition to 9 paid holidays each year. Ability for wage increases as training milestones are completed.

Physical Requirements:
Minimal physical effort under typical office conditions but must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lb. Ability to operate standard office equipment. Frequent sitting, talking, hearing and mental concentration for prolonged periods required; use of hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms; specific vision requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus, ability to distinguish color in graphs, charts, etc. Must be able to communicate and be understood clearly; hearing ability requirements include ability to interact with employees, the public, elected or appointed officials and outside organizations.
