Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site role for a Notetaker, Exam Proctor, and Reader at Hunter College, located in New York, NY. Responsibilities include taking accurate and detailed notes during classes for students requiring accommodations, reading aloud test/exam material in a clear and articulate manner, and serving as a proctor to maintain a secure and distraction-free testing environment. The role supports students in achieving academic success through high-quality assistance and collaboration with faculty and disability services staff.

Qualifications

• Strong written communication skills, including the ability to take detailed and accurate notes.
• Clear oral communication skills for reading and verbal delivery of information.
• Ability to uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical standards.
• Proven organizational skills and attention to detail for managing schedules and maintaining a distraction-free environment.
• Basic understanding of working with students requiring accommodations, particularly in educational settings, is a plus.
• Proficiency in time management and the ability to multitask effectively.
• A high school diploma is required; some college education is preferred.
