About the role Hunter Scouts is seeking a Contract RAN Support Engineer to work on-site at a customer location in Memphis, TN. In this hands-on role you will provide RAN and OSS support for the customer's radio access network platforms (AirScale/FlexiZone BTS solutions) and associated OSS toolsets. You will perform configuration management, software upgrades, monitoring, troubleshooting and documentation while collaborating with vendor and customer teams to resolve escalations and support live networks.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site RAN support for AirScale and FlexiZone BTS (indoor and outdoor) at the Memphis customer site
- Perform configuration management using OSS/Mantray applications (CM Operation Manager, CM Editor, Workflow Tool)
- Execute, validate and rollback software upgrades and patches using Software Manager
- Monitor network KPIs and alarms with vendor monitoring applications; troubleshoot and resolve RAN faults
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation in the Discovery Documentation Center
- Collaborate with vendor and customer teams for escalation, root-cause analysis, site acceptance and change management
- Follow established operational workflows, security policies and processes when working on live networks
- Must be located within a 50-mile radius of Memphis, Tennessee, United States
- Minimum 2 years in RAN support/operations/field engineering and hands-on experience with the vendor's RAN platforms and OSS within the last 2 years (AirScale/FlexiZone and Mantray/OSS toolset)
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship
- Willingness and ability to work on-site full-time at the customer location in Memphis, TN
- Ability to pass NSA background check requirements
- Experience with vendor documentation portals (Discovery Documentation Center) and software/monitoring tools (CM Operation Manager, CM Editor, Workflow Tool, Software Manager)
- Experience with 5G NR features, optimization and performance analysis
- Experience with site integration, commissioning, turn-up and acceptance
- Scripting/automation experience (Python, shell) for OSS tasks
- RF optimization and drive-test data analysis experience
- Relevant vendor certifications (e.g., RAN or OSS certifications)
