Job title: Software Developer - Quantitative Strategies.
Salary: Up to $350,000 starting base industry-leading guaranteed bonus and package.
Location: New York - Hybrid (Up to 4days onsite per week).

- Globally leading quantitative fund widely regarded as one of the early pioneers of systematic investing in the 1990s.
- Scientific and data-driven firm who have been at the forefront of computational finance for the last four decades.
- Multi-disciplinary team of mostly STEM-subject matter experts who deploy a collaborative approach to developing and executing systematic trading strategies across an array of asset classes and investment products.
Role:
- Following continued ongoing and stellar performance in financial markets last year, this firm are scaling their quantitative trading and technology capabilities across their HQ.
- Role entails holistically applying and leveraging analytics, mathematics, software and computing to an array of technical and data-driven challenges.
- Specifically, design and develop distributed systems to process large-scale incoming data in real time.
- Additional responsibilities include working within an embedded capacity alongside quantitative researchers and traders to help formulate statistical models for computerized trading strategies.
Required skills:
- Advanced degree in STEM or another highly computational discipline.
- Proficient knowledge of fundamental areas within computer science and mathematics.
- Capable across topics in distributed systems, functional programming, and data analysis.
- Working proficiency in one of the main OO programming languages: C , Python, Java.
- Academic achievement and extraordinary accomplishments in high school and university-level programming competitions including but not limited to: Olympiad Medallists, ACM-ICPC finalists and winners, and Industry-sponsored Hackathon finalists and winners.
Desirables:
- Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, probability and statistical analysis.
- Demonstratable enthusiasm for engineering and technology via GitHub contributions, open-source contributions or pursuit of personal technical projects.
- Direct experience of translating mathematical models to production-level code.
