My client is looking for a highly skilled Systems Engineer/Architect to join their brand new Ultra Low Latency Engineering team. T
This is a rare opportunity to work on some of the fastest and most advanced trading infrastructure in the industry from an early stage, being involved in a number of architectural decisions from scratch!
You’ll design, optimise, and scale mission-critical infrastructure supporting global trading systems, ensuring world-class reliability, performance, and security.
Role
- Architect and evolve the firm’s high-performance compute and storage platforms
- Optimise Linux environments for latency-sensitive workloads
- Work with trading, quant, and platform teams to deliver tailored, scalable solutions
- Troubleshoot complex performance issues at every layer of the stack
- Contribute to long-term platform strategy, documentation, and delivery of new infrastructure projects
Skills / Experience
- 7 years working with Linux in enterprise or performance-critical environments
- Deep understanding of networking protocols and tuning for low-latency systems
- Familiarity with kernel bypass and Solarflare
- Strong scripting and automation abilities using Python (Desired)
- Solid grasp of server hardware and CPU architectures
- Experience with FPGA systems are a plus
