What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plumbing Install Apprentice position at Hunt's Services?
Job Summary:
Assembles pipes, cleans water supply, handles tools, and cleans job sites. Assists in smaller jobs and handles smaller jobs on their own.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Locate and identify leaks
- Repair or replace pipes and parts
- Determine the correct tools and equipment necessary to successfully complete job
- Assist with preparing cost estimates for clients
- Help Plumber to ensure that all work is in accordance with federal, state, and local plumbing codes
- Clean job site after work is completed
- Answer client queries
- Follows Plumber’s instructions
- Regular, prompt, on-site attendance essential for physically installing equipment
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trades.
- Willingness to learn on the job, go through training, and earn certification as a Plumber
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in basic math and conversion of measurements.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- At least two years
related experience required.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Valid Plumber Trainee License
Physical Requirements:
- Continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, heavy lifting, and carrying.
- Work in tiring and uncomfortable positions, around gas lines, around fumes and toxic chemicals, indoors and outdoors
- Exposure to extreme temperatures
- Must be able to lift
up
to 100 pounds at times.
