Role Description: We are seeking a highly motivated Imaging Sales Specialist to support microscopy imaging sales activities across Ohio and KY. This role is responsible for promoting and selling a full portfolio of research imaging solutions—including advanced MPE confocal systems—to academic, clinical, and industrial customers.

The ideal candidate will excel at identifying new opportunities, presenting product solutions, and guiding customers through the evaluation and purchasing process. They will help support the microscopy sales team and demo, train, sell and support the systems. Success in this role requires strong technical aptitude, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer support.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong business relationships with current and prospective clients.
• Provide pre‑sales support to help customers evaluate solutions and gain confidence in their purchasing decisions.
• Deliver exceptional customer service through on‑site product demonstrations, training, and post‑sale support.
• Provide product and application expertise, respond to inquiries, and resolve customer concerns.
• Identify new sales opportunities and schedule meetings with key decision‑makers.
• Prepare price quotations, discount structures, and customized proposals.
• Develop deep product knowledge to recommend solutions that best meet customer research and imaging needs.
• Maintain accurate CRM and quotation records.
• Communicate field insights to Sales Management, including market trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities.
• Call on community colleges, universities, hospitals, bio-tech firms and research institutions throughout the assigned territory.
• Travel throughout the region as required.
• Leverage experience in basic microscopy and digital imaging; a background in biology and computer literacy is essential.
• Compensation includes salary, commission, and reimbursed expenses.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline required.
• BS/MS/PhD in the life sciences preferred.
• Sales experience preferred but not required.
• Self‑starter with the ability to work independently and manage a multi‑state territory.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and customer‑focused demeanor.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Demonstrated strong work ethic and drive to succeed.
• Ability to travel throughout the assigned region.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills, technical aptitude, and willingness to learn new imaging technologies and applications.

• First‑year base salary: $60,000, plus commission.
