Survey Project Manager

The successful candidate’s primary responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following: 

·        Assembles deed mosaics including making minor property line adjustments and correcting closure errors.

·        Reviews right-of-way plans prepared either in house or by outside clients as required.

·        Reviews courthouse research performed by others to assure correctness and completeness.

·        Reviews a wide variety of deliverables prepared by office staff to confirm accuracy and completeness. 

·        Reviews survey calculations completed by others.

·        Downloads and processes complex GPS data and prepares GPS reports as required to submit to DOT, Turnpike Commission or similar agencies.

·        Makes boundary line location recommendations in accordance with state laws and statues.

·        Prepares monthly progress reports.

·        Conducts visits to project sites for various reasons.

·        Manages minor to complex survey projects.

·        Supervises both field and office staff as required.

·        Coordinates the training of staff assigned to the Survey Manager.

This role requires a minimum of one (1) of the following criteria:

·        Show prior experience as a Survey Project Manager, or similar role, with another employer. 

·        Hold a bachelor’s degree in surveying or a closely related field from four-year College or technical school. 

·        Have six (6) to ten (10) years related and progressive experience and/or training, with at least two (2) years being a supervisory role.

Other job requirements: 

·        Strong communication and organizational skills. 

·        Familiarity with Civil3D, Trimble Business Center and other commonly used software packages 

·        Must have reliable transportation to office when required

·        Must have a safety mindset 

·        Exhibit a team attitude and work well with others

The preferred candidate will have a Surveyor in Training certificate or Professional Land Surveyor license in Pennsylvania or another colonial state.
