Electrical Construction Assistant Project Manager

Job Description Summary The Assistant Project Manager supports the Project Manager and Estimator in planning, coordinating, and executing electrical estimates and projects. This role involves estimating, managing project documentation, assisting with scheduling and budgeting, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within scope. Job Description: Role & Responsibilities Assist the Estimator: Work hand-in-hand with our seasoned Estimator to learn and oversee the entire estimate lifecycle. Assist the Project Manager: Work with our seasoned Project Managers to oversee the entire project lifecycle – from procurement and engineering to subcontracting and installation. Build Strong Customer Relations: We believe in fostering lasting client relationships. Your contributions will directly impact our bottom line. Master Project Documentation: Gain proficiency in preparing, processing, and managing all essential project documentation. This includes files, schedules, reports, billing, and more. Complete Submittals and Close-Outs: Ensure project completion by handling submittals and close-outs meticulously. Versatile Team Player: Expect exciting challenges and growth opportunities. You'll tackle various tasks and responsibilities to broaden your skill set and contribute to our team's success. Other job tasks as required. Qualifications and Education Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. Two (2) year degree in electrical construction, construction management, similar discipline, or equivalent experience. National Electrical Code knowledge required. Knowledge of materials, methods and the tools involved in the electrical industry. Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word computer skills preferred. Bluebeam experience preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to meet daily deadlines. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Valid driver’s license required. Physical Requirements This position may operate at an industrial job site and is exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and noise, possibly requiring closed toed shoes, as well as occasional use of a hard hat and eye protection. This position also operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, photocopiers. Employees are frequently required to sit, and occasionally required to kneel, reach, stoop, crouch or crawl. This position requires the ability to lift files, open file cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary. This position may occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Pay Range: $61,750.00 - $85,500.00 Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
