Accounts Payable Processor

A Brief Overview

The Accounts Payable Processor provides accounting support for the tracking, processing, and recording of payment requests submitted to Accounts Payable. This role will ensures liabilities are paid within established terms and in accordance with company policies and procedures.

What You Will Do

• Assumes responsibility for data entry of accounts payable transactions into two in ERP systems.
• Responds to inquiries regarding the invoices; resolves invoice discrepancies through email approval.
• Processes, schedules, and follow-ups on rush items.
• Provides customer service by responding to vendor and in-house inquiries.
• Ensures invoice images are associated with the electronic records.
• Inputs all high-priority invoices on a daily basis.
• Inputs all standard priority invoices within two business days.
• Processes intercompany payables.
• Ensures purchase order matching.
• Maintains recurring payment files and processes recurring payments.
• Processes contract payment, batch processing, and GL posting.
• Corresponds with vendors and responds to inquiries.
• Adheres to and enforces company policy related to Accounts Payable.
• Provides additional administrative support for ancillary accounts payable processes.
  
  

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent Required and
• higher education degree Preferred
• 1-3 years accounts payable experience Required and
• experience large ERP systems Preferred and
• specific work experience in a complex, high volume accounts payable environment Preferred
• Must communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work.
• Must be skilled in executing multiple projects and able to meet deadlines while handling several priorities.
• Must be a team player, have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a desire to succeed.
• Must be computer literate and proficient with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Requires a detail-oriented, reliable individual who can be a part of a team and demonstrates basic knowledge of accounts payable process and procedures.
• Must demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
