Position Summary:
Hunt Commercial & Housing is seeking a results-driven Project Manager to oversee multiple housing projects, land development coordination and or commercial construction. This role requires strong organizational leadership, financial, and field management capabilities to track projects from pre-construction through final delivery. Core responsibilities:
- Budgeting and cost control
- Contracts and change orders
- Critical Path Scheduling (macro-level timelines) in PM Software
- Client communication and reporting - Update Log
- documentation, compliance
- Coordination between stakeholders (owner, architect, GC)
- Job Site Set Up & Compliance
- COH Critical Inspections - IE Site Prep, Pours, Frame, Frame Final, Punch Final
- Project Master Schedule
Pre-Construction & Land Development
- Manage workflows related to plats, civil plans, utility coordination, and permitting.
- Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, and city departments to move projects through entitlement.
- Track development schedules, jurisdictional approvals, and ensure readiness for construction start.
Construction
- Oversee all phases from site prep, vertical build, through final inspections and turnover.
- Review Critical Path & Budgets with Key Stakeholders
- Prepare Bid Packages for contractor biddings and present to stakeholders.
- Schedule subcontractors and manage quality control to meet design and code standards.
- Maintain construction timelines aligned with leasing and stabilization goals.
- Coordinate with property management on tenant impact and unit turnover.
- Problem Solving & Results Orientated mindset.
Software & Tools Proficiency
- MUST BE PROFICIENT in Project Management software
- Skilled in project scheduling and document control (Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project)
- Competent in cost coding, WIP tracking, and permitting workflows
Qualifications
- 5 years of project management in residential construction, remodeling, or commercial projects
- Familiar with land development, entitlement processes, and Houston permitting procedures
- Strong leadership, communication, and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to coordinate consultants, trades, and city agencies from pre-con to finish
- Proficient in Project Management Software and Standard Construction Practices
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
