Warehouse Associate

Job Description

Hunt and Sons, Inc. is now hiring a Warehouse Associate for our Elko location. This position is a full time, Monday thru Friday position. The successful applicant will be able to safely and efficiently maintain our warehouse and yard.

Job Purpose

The position of Warehouse Associate is responsible for all aspects of warehouse functions including the receiving, storing, handling, shipping and preparing of product for customer delivery while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion.

Essential Functions:

· Receives material coming into the building by vendors, customers, or other warehouses accurately and promptly.

·Verifies the quantity and description of materials received by checking merchandise against the packing list.

· Examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items. Appropriately report/record any discrepancies.

· To accurately place materials on shelves, in racks or other designated storage areas in an orderly manner.

· Enter quantity received against the purchase order in the computer system and print back order and inventory stock put away list.

Attaches identifying tag or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.

· Assembles and fills orders to be shipped to customers.

· Review all orders to determine if they were picked correctly.

Be able to accurately identify various types of products.

· Safely operate all the necessary equipment in work area.

· Keep all worksite areas clean and organized

· Clean up, dispose of and report all spills immediately

· To accurately identify and count stock materials as listed on the cycle count list.

· Operate mixing equipment (training proceeds equipment operating)

· Accurately record and report all product batches.

· Maintain accurate product inventories.

· Forklift certification preferred.

Other Tasks:

· Interacts with fellow employees professionally and respectfully.

· Adheres to Hunt & Sons, Inc. Policies & Procedures.

· Dress professionally every day.

· Treats customers and co-workers in a friendly, courteous manner.

· Perform other miscellaneous duties assigned to the position.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Able to move or lift up to 75 lbs.

· Able to withstand temperatures in a typical warehouse environment.

· Ability to bend, stoop, twist and move freely in the performance of the position.

· Ability to perform arithmetical calculations at the eighth-grade level.

· Ability to climb in and out of equipment many times during course of the day’s work.
