Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and assist with food and beverage selections to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities while providing personalized recommendations based on guest preferences
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and ensuring overall satisfaction throughout their visit
- Clear tables efficiently by bussing and resetting for new guests, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering processes, including cash handling and basic math calculations
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience or food service background preferred; experience in fine dining or nightclub settings is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order processing and billing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy service hours
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and order calculations accurately
- Experience in food preparation, serving, bussing, or host/hostess roles is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment within the food industry
