What are the responsibilities and job description for the Prep Cook position at Hungry Catering?
HUNGRY is looking for an outgoing, detail-oriented, and energetic individual to provide food prep support to our kitchen in Woburn, MA. Cooks will be in charge of the food preparation, food safety, and cleanliness within the culinary space.
Primary Availability/Schedule: Sunday, Monday, & Thursday - Morning Shift
Key Responsibilities:
- Safe and efficient food preparation and adhesion to high-quality standards
- Ensure proper sanitation and cleaning standards
- Timely stocking of food, inventory, and supplies
- Operate with professionalism and integrity
- Work collaboratively with a team
- Ability to work Sunday, Monday, & Thursday morning shifts
- Preparation of fresh salads, sandwiches, and wraps
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of relevant cooking/culinary experience
- Should have the mindset of ownership and a strong sense of urgency
- Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations
- ServeSafe Certification
- Operational knowledge of food service equipment
- Strong passion for people & food
- Ability to multi-task with ease
- A lead-by-example approach
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Compensation:
- $17-18/hr
