Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted and fulfilled
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, including non-alcoholic beverages, maintaining proper drink service etiquette
- Process sales transactions accurately while handling cash, credit cards, or digital payments with integrity and attention to detail
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and maximize sales opportunities through effective suggestive selling techniques like OpenTable reservations or drink pairing recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen support as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations
- Support guest relations by addressing inquiries promptly, resolving concerns professionally, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant setting is preferred; fine dining or fast casual experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and sales tracking
- Knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktails, and drink presentation techniques
- Experience with food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing bills efficiently
- Experience in upselling menu items like specialty drinks or premium selections to increase sales
