Bilingual (Spanish-English) Client Support Specialist
Location: Boone, NC
Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Salary Range: $36,000-38,000 (commensurate with experience)
Position Overview
A Bilingual Client Support Assistant works directly under the Director of Food Access to ensure seamless service delivery to clients. This position serves as a crucial hands-on role in our distribution process, primarily responsible for the direct hand-off of food and medicine to clients after they have been checked in and processed. The Client Support Assistant embodies our mission of providing dignified, compassionate service while meeting the immediate needs of our community members.
Primary Responsibilities
- Execute client services by distributing pre-packaged food boxes
- Dispense medications as directed by pharmacy staff
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of lobby
- Track inventory levels of frequently distributed items and alert appropriate staff when supplies run low
- Assist sorting, shelving, and rotating of food and produce boxes
- Communicate client concerns or special needs to the Director of Food Access
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of distribution areas before and after service hours
- Supporting the Food Access Team with additional distribution-related tasks
- Complete other tasks as assigned by the Director of Food Access
Professional Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in customer service, retail, food service, or related field
- Experience working with vulnerable populations
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn inventory systems
- Bilingual English/Spanish

- Salary Range: $36,000 – $38,000 annually, health insurance stipend up to $475 monthly, 10 days PTO, 6 days sick leave, up to 12 paid holidays, 3% retirement match after 1 year of employment.
