The Senior Systems Administrator will provide systems administration and IT maintenance activities, as required, to support 24/7/365 operations across all AFOSC PED sites.

Essential Job Functions
- Assign personnel to projects, directing their activities, and evaluating their work.
- Install, maintain, configure, and ensure the integrity of computer software.
- Implement operating system enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system.
- Provide second-tier support to end-users for PC server, mainframe applications, and hardware.
- Resolve problems that the first tier of help desk support is unable to resolve.
- Interact with network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify the correct core problem.
- Simulate/recreates user problems to resolve operating difficulties and/or errors.
- Recommend systems modifications to reduce user problems.
- Maintain currency and the highest level of technical skill in the field of expertise.
- Assist with identification of equipment that needs to be acquired, equipment sustainment, and equipment distribution.
- Assist configuration manager with shipping and control, to include equipment pickup, packing, shipping, and tracking.
