HunaTek is seeking an experienced project control analyst to lead the project control function in a complex business environment that includes multiple operating companies and joint ventures.

As team lead, you will continue to refine our policies and processes in consultation with senior accounting staff, and manage and mentor a small team of project control analysts. This is not strictly a managerial position; at our current size, you will be expected to perform as an analyst on a set of projects.

Project Control Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Budgeting and financial analysis:
- Develop and maintain project plans and budgets, and proactively monitor costs against plans and budgets to develop project financial forecasts/EACs and conduct variance analysis
- Ensure accuracy of project-related timesheets and expense reports
- Monitor projects’ burn rate and commitments against funding
- Project vendor and customer invoices:
- Review subcontractor and vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance
- Provide customer-specific invoice backup, review customer invoices for accuracy and compliance, and monitor billing and payment status
- Perform unbilled analysis and monthly accrual calculations
- Provide support to project/program managers:
- Develop internal and external project review data and reporting and project financial reports
- Maintain project personnel assignments in the Unanet accounting system
- Initiate and review purchase orders for subcontract labor and non-labor project costs
- Communicate timekeeping and expense practices for the contract
- Analyze, identify and monitor risks for limitations on subcontracting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills for presenting complex data to stakeholders
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a project control analyst for federal contracts
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a team lead or management role
- Strong Excel skills to include pivot tables, VLOOKUP and other data functions
- Experience using Unanet GovCon software (strongly preferred) or similar project-based accounting system
- Bachelors degree in an accounting, mathematical or business-related field is preferred but not required
