Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Runner to join our dynamic restaurant team. The Food Runner plays a vital role in ensuring timely delivery of food from the kitchen to guests, maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction. Duties
- Deliver prepared dishes promptly from the kitchen to dining tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met
- Assist servers with clearing plates and resetting tables to maintain a clean and organized dining area
- Support the kitchen staff by communicating guest orders efficiently and accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Ensure all food handling procedures adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with basic food preparation or setup as needed, including bussing and replenishing supplies
- Maintain cleanliness in service areas and ensure all food is served at appropriate temperatures
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries courteously and professionally
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during busy periods
Skills
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation standards
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Experience with banquet service, catering, or hotel guest services is advantageous
- Strong communication skills for effective coordination with kitchen staff and servers
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
