Location: Essex
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 per annum (depending on experience) plus bonuses

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Mortgage and Protection Paraplanner to join a well-established and highly respected independent mortgage brokerage based in Essex. The Role

As Senior Mortgage and Protection Paraplanner, you will support Mortgage and Protection Advisers by ensuring applications are processed efficiently, accurately, and compliantly. You will also assist the Compliance Manager with file reviews and contribute to maintaining high regulatory standards, while delivering excellent customer service throughout the client journey.

Key responsibilities include:

• Liaising verbally and in writing with advisers, clients, lenders, and internal teams

• Accurately submitting mortgage and protection applications and ensuring initial lender requirements are met

• Interpreting adviser instructions and resolving issues efficiently

• Updating the CRM system with client details, requirements, and documentation in a timely and accurate manner

• Ensuring all client documentation is correctly labelled and uploaded

• Managing worklists for submitted cases and adding detailed notes to support ongoing case progression

• Reviewing client documentation to ensure minimum compliance and quality standards are met

• Conducting file reviews to a high standard and providing management information on findings and outstanding actions

• Maintaining effective working relationships across the business

• Upholding professional standards of attendance, punctuality, and presentation

• Actively pursuing personal development to maintain and enhance technical knowledge and regulatory awareness

The Ideal Candidate

This role is suited to an experienced paraplanner who is confident working in a regulated environment and supporting advisers at a senior level.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience in a mortgage and protection paraplanning role

• Strong knowledge of mortgage and protection products and lender requirements

• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• The ability to manage a busy workload and meet deadlines

• A professional and customer-focused approach

• Full CeMAP qualification (CeRER desirable but not essential)
