Role Description
This is a contract, on-site role for a Music Teacher at Hummingbird Music School, located in San Francisco, CA. The Music Teacher will be responsible for providing high-quality music education through one-on-one or group lessons tailored to students’ unique learning styles. Responsibilities include teaching music theory and performance, creating engaging lesson plans, preparing students for performances, and fostering a love for music in a positive and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and ability in Music Theory and Music Education
- Experience in Music Performance and teaching Music to diverse age groups
- Proficiency in Piano or other instruments relevant to the role
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to customize lesson plans based on individual student needs
- Passion for fostering creativity and skill development in young musicians
- Relevant degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field preferred
- Previous teaching or instructional experience is a plus
