Job Title: Install/Delivery Team (Furniture Installer)

Department: Furniture Warehouse (Mohawk, NY 13407)

Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30am - 4pm (may require some overtime)

Supervisor: Furniture Warehouse Manager

Pay: $ $18.50/hr based on experience

Hummel's Office Plus is a leading provider of innovative office solutions, including state-of-the-art equipment and top-notch services. We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Furniture Installer to join our team in providing exceptional service to our customers.

As a Furniture Installer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers' new office furniture is installed and configured properly, allowing them to operate efficiently. Your attention to detail, technical skills, and customer service-oriented approach will make you an valuable member of our team as you will be responsible for installing & loading/unloading furniture in or out of truck/van, consulting withwarehouse or customer on furniture to be moved; may collect payment for COD order, etc., as well as assists other departments as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.
• Must comply with all DOT physical screening regulations, demonstrate safety and navigation skills, handle short and/or long-distance deliveries in a timely fashion and follow all company safety procedures.
• Ability to work flexible days and hours, may require overnight stays for projects/installations, as well as weekends as needed.There is a compensation stipend for overnight installations.
• Will be required to have set of tools specified in tool list.
• Excellent time management, customer service & communication skills. Interpersonal skills are a plus.
• Ability to work on a team or independently
• Must be able to deal well with the public, as this is a very customer-oriented position.
• Adhere to Hummel's grooming & appearance standards policy.
• DOT Physical & Drug Screen required: All Hummel's employees operating company vehicles must have a DOT physical (and keep current). A DOT physical is mandated by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), and their guidelines for employee health must be met given the demands of the job. During the DOT exam, your doctor will look at your medical history, medications, and other information. Essentially, a DOT physical will check for health in the following categories, although depending on the person, the exam may be more extensive: Hearing, Vision, Blood pressure, Mouth and throat, Lungs and chest, Heart (via an electrocardiogram, or EKG), Vascular health, Neurological health, Musculoskeletal health, Abdomen, Genitals & Urine and blood tests (to check blood sugar levels and to test for illegal drugs).
• One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of panel systems, ability to work with tools and read and interpret documents such as plans, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Must be able to lift and or move up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift and or move more than 100 lbs.
