Seeking an experienced Maintenance Unit Supervisor to lead and oversee a union crew of electricians and mechanics. They will be responsible for ensuring operational safety, reliability, quality, and cost-effectiveness. They will provide technical troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and crew leadership while balancing productivity, recovery, and delivery performance.

- Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts (day and night)
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide mechanical crafts, providing technical direction for all maintenance activities.
- Lead both planned and unplanned maintenance to achieve departmental performance goals.
- Foster a safe and compliant work environment by conducting safety discussions and job-specific safety reviews.
- Allocate and assign work fairly, prioritizing tasks based on critical business needs.
- Manage crew arrangements, including scheduling for planned/unplanned absences and vacation coverage.
- Apply root cause analysis and rapid problem-solving techniques to maintain or restore production.
- Collaborate with craftspeople, peers, and management to drive results and resolve conflicts.
- Ensure operational performance in safety, quality, quantity, timeliness, and recovery.
- Support the training and technical skill development of crew members.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED (accredited institution).
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience with direct reports.
- Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with union environments and labor agreements is preferred.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles (ABS) is a plus.
